Abstract

The paper examines Ivo Andrić's late, late-modernist works, the unfinished novel Omer Pasha Latas and the short story collection Kuća na osami. More precisely, the study interprets a common episode from these works concerning the figure of Ali Pasha Rizvanbegović, a prominent historical figure in the 19th-century Bosnian history. The focus is on how this character is portrayed in both of these works.
