The subject of this paper was the analysis of oronyms in Petar Sarić's novel Sara (2008). The study provides an overview of the geographical names present in the text, focusing specifically on those referring to mountains and other natural elevations. Through an onomastic analysis, the paper explores the different types of oronyms used by Sarić and their role in shaping the novel's depiction of space.
The primary aim of this article was to underscore the significance of these geographical names in constructing the novel's spatial identity. Additionally, the analysis demonstrates how oronyms, alongside other toponyms, contribute to the textual cohesion of the work.
